How Leaders Innovate

Recently highlighted in Sterling's TED talk, the only constant is change. Sterling’s background in working with hundreds of startups and Fortune 500 companies has led to the discovery that innovation isn’t about money, who you know, or even about being in the right place at the right time. It’s about discomfort. We explain how embracing discomfort is access to breakthrough growth. People aren’t built for that, though; they’re built for survival. In today’s fast-paced world, change is necessary and learning how to accept it and get out ahead of it is the only competitive advantage. Sterling learned that concept working personally with retailers and brands to embrace the technologies of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, including robots, IoT and Artificial Intelligence. This simultaneously required Sterling and the companies he worked with to think out of the box to embrace new technology coming together with humanity to unlock something new. Key Take Aways: • Intentionally creating discomfort in the current workplace or organizational situation leads to innovative thinking. • See constraints, hardships and problems not as conditions to be rid of but rather as circumstances to be embraced and as the access to innovation. • An ecology of people who create big goals allows for and even forces actions that were previously unthinkable.

Virtual Keynotes

As the world is changing, we need innovation more than ever. Digitally we’ve never been more connected, even though we may be limited physically due to COVID-19. Constraints, whether we choose them or they’re required from the outside, are one of the necessities of innovation. Now more than ever there’s an opportunity and need to create something new. Sterling’s powerful keynotes are now being offered ONLINE for all of your events. Specializing in Innovation and Transformational Leadership, Sterling is committed to delivering value and inspiration to your audience, as if they were experiencing his keynote in person. Here are some of the unique elements included: Studio Quality: We’ve just upgraded our home recording studio with top quality audio and video capabilities. It’s also a wired internet connection to ensure as strong a feed as possible. Formats offered are based on your needs: Pre-recorded keynote with Q&A from audience submitted in advance, Pre-recorded keynote with live Q&A, Full keynote and/or workshop live with live Q&A. Active Audience Participation: Instead of just watching, we are committed to getting your audience engaged. With a real-time audience engagement platform that allows people at home or in the office to participate, we can see the results of their participation play out on a dashboard. Seeing what the audience is asking, how they’re responding to questions and survey results makes a difference in the experience and what people take away from it. Experiential (digitally): Feature live entertainment for event attendees from singers to orchestras all able to stream from where they are to you. We’re known for illustrating and creating human experiences in keynotes [check this one out!] and we wanted to bring that into the digital world. By integrating music throughout the keynote we keep audiences moved and inspired beyond words. Lasting Impact: All virtual keynotes are recorded and available to the client for a period of two weeks. It can be shared internally with larger groups or even reviewed from people that have seen it before. Having the ability to go back to key sections and take more in-depth notes supports even greater learning and take-aways from any keynote. Sentiment Analysis: Understand your audience or clients better than ever before. Measurement and success metrics are key to any conference, in person or online. Beyond simple surveys we can take analysis to the next level — understanding the sentiment of viewers while they’re watching the virtual keynote! Is your audience excited, moved, intrigued in general and during specific parts of the delivery? Of course, cameras are required and this service could be extended beyond the keynote to your entire virtual conference.

Over my many years running events around the world, few if any of my 2,000+ speakers delivered as remarkable a performance as Sterling did at Seamless Asia.
