About Mariela Shaker

Mariela survived the war in Syria in 2013 after receiving a scholarship to continue her music studies in the US. Mariela was named a “Champion of Change” by President Barack Obama in 2015 and was appointed UNHCR High Profile Supporter. Since then she received many awards such as Anne Frank first ever Promisekeeper Award in 2018 and Points of Light Award in 2017. She performed at over than 80 prestigious venues all over the world along with Cate Blanchett, Ben Stiller, Angelina Jolie, and many others.
