Direct contact
Once your account and membership have been registered, you (as a speaker) can be booked and request bookings through our online platform.
There are two ways in which you may be booked. Firstly, you may be contacted by an event organizer who has seen your online profile. To ensure the safety of our users, all contact information in the form of URLs, email addresses and phone numbers will be made anonymous when users interact with one another. The event organizer will only be allowed to communicate with you through this medium if you have provided consent thereto.
Secondly, an event organizer may upload an upcoming event to the platform, to which you can react directly to the event organization.
Sending the offer
When speakers are contacted through our platform, speakers use the booking system of our platform to arrange their bookings and invoices easy and fast.
The event organizer will answer a few questions about the speaking enquiry on the platform before the connection request will be sent to the speaker. These event details may include the date of the event, the event venue, the theme, description of the audience, time to speak, language and budget.
After the speaker has received an email notification with a new enquiry he can click on the link in the email to go to the platform to read the enquiry form. The speaker may then contact the event organizer directly to discuss further details.
Eventually the speaker can complete the enquiry form with more details and other wishes. The speaker is asked include at least their fee, expenses and the speaker's general conditions, before sending the offer to the event organizer.
Booking and Invoice
When the event organizer accepts the offer of the speaker, the booking is confirmed and the parties can start the further preparation.
The platform will collect booking and billing information from you and the event organizers, when you make a booking through the platform. The speaker sends the invoice through the platform to the event organizer with the most important and necessary details. Invoice details may include company name, name and last name, postal address, VAT, and necessary other payment details of the event organizer.
Why we collect information
We collect this information in order to provide the services (connections, bookings and billing) we offer speakers and event organizers. This makes connections between all users of our platform possible and makes the booking and billing process for all users more efficient.
When you use our services as described above, we collect information about which of those services you've used and how you've used them. Please find below an explanation of the types of information we collect when you use our services:
We only collect speaker's reviews from people who have attended the speaker's performance. These are the event organizer and the audience.
After the event our platform automatically sends an email to the event organizer with an invitation to add a review. The event organizer can rate the speaker with stars regarding the contact with the speaker, the presentation, and the content. Furthermore the event organizer can leave a short comment about the speaker.
The audience can add the review to the speakers profile. To add a review they first have to create an account with their first and last name, email address and password. To review the speaker the audience has to fill out a form which will include the name and date of the event, and star ratings regarding the presentation and the content. The audience can also leave a short comment. The audience may choose to remain anonymous online.
Before the review is shared on the platform (not on the public website) the speaker always receives a notification when a review has been added. Reviews are shared on the platform, unless the speaker has not consented thereto or withdrawn his/her consent.
